Coimbra.Blockchain S2E4 – The Finale
The last Coimbra.blockchain of season 2 closed off last saturday (April 29th, 2023) with a great mix of topics including design & marketing, regen, defi and gaming. Hosted by Pink Room at their Office in Coimbra, episode #4 gathered the community once again to chat, connect and discuss what’s new on web3.
The first round table joined Francisco Baila and Júlia Vilaça from Onda Studio with Tomás Marques from Blocksmith to share their perspectives on how web3 has changed and will continue to change the creative work, specifically in regards to branding, design and marketing of digital products.
Our own Rafael Jegundo proceeded with a talk about the Regen Punk movement, where it started and where it is going. Focusing on concepts of collective decision making, anti-fragility and going beyond sustainability into regeneration. This talk had some very poignant propositions that stirred up the audience, which was noticeable during the talk and afterwards in the Q&A and networking.
In the second round table, Rafael was joined by Joaquim Cavalheiro from SumCap to discuss the past, present and future of DeFi. Some lines of thought that were transversal to the conversation included regulation concerns, obstacles to global adoption and its multiple meanings (e.g.: replacing traditional stock market with defi, replacing payment systems with crypto), and promising areas in development like the tokenization of real assets on the blockchain and decentralised ways of attestation.
Finally, Nuno Oliveira shared the current state of gaming in web3 based on his experience from the Exeedme Competitive Gaming Platform.
We’re proud to support this event and continue to be part of the blockchain community on both a local and global level. It was a great opportunity for us to build even stronger relationships to the community, and also for more of our team to get to share their experience and interests related to blockchain technologies.
